Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Slug Signal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Slug Signal is a culture risk assessment platform for brand campaigns. The Service includes:

• AI-powered analysis of cultural signals to assess brand risk
• Meeting Monitor — a calendar integration that identifies and monitors meetings relevant to brand risk using configured keywords
• Real-time risk scoring during monitored meetings via automated meeting bots

The Service is provided on an as-needed basis and features may change over time.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Submit content designed to probe, attack, or circumvent the security of the Service
• Use automated tools to overload or disrupt the Service
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service
• Use the Service to monitor meetings you do not have permission to record or analyze

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user found to be in violation of these terms.

Calendar Integration and Meeting Bots

When you use the Meeting Monitor feature, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and necessary consent from all meeting participants to allow an automated bot to join and analyze the meeting. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and organization policy.

Slug Signal is not liable for any claims arising from your use of the meeting bot feature without obtaining appropriate consent.

Advisory Nature of Risk Assessments

Risk assessments produced by Slug Signal are generated by AI models and are advisory in nature only. They do not constitute professional legal, financial, communications, or brand strategy advice.

You should not rely solely on Slug Signal assessments when making material business decisions. Always apply your own judgment and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

We make no warranty that risk assessments are accurate, complete, or timely, and we are not liable for any decisions made based on them.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that any defects will be corrected or that results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Slug Signal and its founders, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Intellectual Property

All content, software, and technology comprising the Service — including the brand risk models, scoring methodology, and UI — are owned by Slug Signal and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (campaign descriptions, keywords, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice prior to the changes taking effect.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Houston, Texas.
